What Went Wrong?

What Went Wrong tells the tale of the horrifying scale of textile waste thrown out in the U.S. every year. Since humans have a hard time visualizing objects past 1000, it is difficult to fully comprehend the amount of textiles that end up in landfills. Doing the math, I figured out that if you took the average yearly textile waste and put it into a hemispherical pile, it would be 881 feet tall. In response to this number, I made public transportation advertisements targeted to local people in cities, a campaign that could be potentially be sponsored by Waste Management. By showing how tall this pile of textile waste would be, I hope people who see these advertisements can understand how pressing of an issue it is.
